This event called for those curious, collaborative and interested in the maker movement, Internet of Things (IoT), fashiontech or wearables.

In this casual format presentation Renn Scott of Daily Goods brought together some of the women that are influencing the types of products changing the landscape of fashion + design + technology through creative uses of materials and technology.

Renn Scott, Daily Goods Design LABS Founder kicked off the event with a 40 min talk followed by 4 designer presentations and discussion.

Renn’s talk included:

An intro to Internet of Things, fashiontech and wearables.

Trends and how the market is changing based on customer’s expectations.

Examples of how designers are using technology to realize their concept ideas.

An understanding of the importance of makerspaces, multidisciplinary teams, and how to simply get ideas started.
